In Mumbai, #TheCityThatNeverSleeps

It is easy to find a place to dance at 2 am, a wine shop open at 3am and tawa-fresh anda burji at 4am. However, if you mange to rise with the rising sun you may feel a bit lost.

So, I am trying to explore the under-rated mornings in the aptly-rated Mumbai. Attempting to save the diminishing race of ‘morning people’ from extinction. Hoping to ‘convert’ some night-owls on the way πŸ™‚

If you have some interesting morning stories, please share it on mumbaimornings@gmail.com. Would love to publish them on my page.

Have a good day!

Smriti

  1. Hello, found your blog on couch surfing. Maybe u can sometime try the cycle tour and breakfast at wood side inn at colaba.

U might already know of it. It’s a great experience to explore old colaba roads if u haven’t done this yet.

    Cheers!

    • Hey, Thanks for your suggestion.
While I have wandered in the bylanes of Colaba, haven’t taken the Woodside Inn tour.
Since I anyway love their food, I will probably try it some day πŸ™‚
      Thank you!

  3. Hello Smriti! It is always exciting to meet a fellow Mumbaikar blogging πŸ™‚ I am a morning person too, more out of compulsion than anything else ( I report to work at seven thirty each morning and if you know Mumbai, you know the long commutes as well) and to be fair I must say, its been six months into this ‘alternative’ lifestyle where I actually feel I am on a different time zone than my friends, I am beginning to appreciate it! Anywho.. Looking forward to your future posts and hoping to catch up on older ones. Good day then πŸ™‚

    • Hey Veena, thanks for dropping by! Reporting to office at 7:30 am sounds so early, I am sure long peaceful commutes are better than long-noisy-crowded commutes πŸ™‚ Lemme also catch up on your posts and see what else we have in common πŸ™‚ Good day!

  5. I loved this city once upon a time, it took my breath away. Not so much now, it gets to me and everytime I get down at C.S.T station its like OMG! Where have I come? I can’t survive for more than 24 hours in the city.
